Phenix City: Lakewood Golf Course

The City of Phenix City has long nurtured a dream of providing a first class facility for the public golfer. The fulfillment of this dream has been realized with the renovation of Lakewood Golf Course, a John LaFoy designed, 18-hole golf course on the beautiful rolling hills of north Phenix City.

Special thanks are extended to the City Council and the citizens of Phenix City for their support during the renovation project, an essential element in making the dream a reality. Lakewood Golf Course is located on Lakewood Drive in Phenix City, Alabama, easily accessible from Hwy , 80 or Hwy, 280/431. Lakewood Golf Course is open to the public for your enjoyment. We offer an 18-hole golf course with tees for all skills, a practice facility with target greens, an area for chipping and pitching as well as bunker play. A separate putting course is also provided for your use. The clubhouse offers a fully stocked golf shop as well as a grill area for your enjoyment.

This public access guide will explain our rates and should answer most of your questions. The staff of Lakewood Golf Course welcomes you and will do their best to exceed your expectations every day, every play.

To Reserve a Tee Time:
Tee times may be reserved on Wednesday at 8:00a.m. each week. Tee times are required for weekend and holidays.

When You Arrive:
Proceed directly to the golf shop. You will be greeted by a member of Lakewood�s staff. They will take care of your golfing needs for the day.

To Use the Practice Facility:
Practice balls may be obtained in the golf shop. A putting course as well as a combined pitching, chipping, and bunker area are available for your enjoyment.
