Parks & Recreation

The Phenix City Parks and Recreation Department currently has 41 full-time employees and 13 part-time employees serving the community of Phenix City, Alabama.

The mission of the Phenix City Parks and Recreation Department is to provide quality leisure services and facilities for the citizens of Phenix City and to appropriately manage Phenix City Parks and Recreation properties and facilities. We will achieve this by:

  • Establishing and organizing quality programs that address the diverse leisure interests of Phenix City citizens.
  • Managing safe, well-maintained parks, facilities, and cemeteries.
  • Exceeding the expectations of citizens, advisory groups, local officials, and the media through a commitment to effective and efficient delivery of services and a positive approach to customer service.
  • Continuing to offer innovative programs and up-to-date facilities.
